Owner, Chris Stivers, started engine repair in the early 90’s. His first vehicles, a 1974 Super Beetle and a 1970 Westy were his first projects. Quickly a passion and enthusiasm was developed for Volkswagen vehicles, especially for the engines. Chris quickly became a natural mechanically at diagnosing, repairing and modifying automobiles of any kind. In 2003 he opened a full service mechanic shop and began building a team of some of the most qualified technicians in the automotive field. His shop is known for a shop that if you can get the vehicle there, the team will find the problem and fix it. It is a frequently challenged claim to fame in Asheville NC. VeeDub prides itself on friendly professionally service, and wants to be a destination that you can call your mechanic for all your automotive needs.

A VW Museum, A Must See!

Additionally, it is always a nostalgic treat to visit the lot. The lot is a museum of almost 2 acres of a unique VW buses, beetles and other vehicles. The lot holds so much history for a Volkswagen enthusiast or spectator to see some beautiful relics. Including a few buses, Asheville VeeDub has 3 of the 1948 Greyhound GMC Silversides. Today there is only less than 500 left in the United States. Come and get your car worked on and be sure to check out the lot. It’s a treat to visit. It is a destination must see!
